Shooting in Tallaght, Dublin, Gardai Investigating Shooting in Jobstown

Shooting in Tallaght, Dublin – In response to a shooting that occurred on Jobstown Road, the Gardai are initiating an investigation into “all circumstances.” This evening, the occurrence in question took place close to 7:30 o’clock in some general area. As of this moment, there has not been a single person reported to have been hurt as a direct result of the firing. A statement has been released by a spokeswoman for the Garda force, which reads as follows: “Gardai in Tallaght are investigating all the circumstances in relation to the discharge of a firearm on Jobstown Road in Tallaght this evening, Tuesday, May 16th, 2023 at approximately 7.30 p.m.” At this moment, there have been no reports of any individuals being injured as a result of the incident.

The Gardai have now taken into custody a fifth individual as a suspect in their investigation into a fatal shooting that occurred the year before. A bullet wound claimed the life of convicted drug dealer Gary “The Canary” Carey on June 24, 2022. He was found in an underground car park in the Kilmainham suburb of Dublin, Ireland. In connection with the shooting that took place the day before, an adult male in his 20s was brought into custody today.

At this time, the person in question is being detained at a Garda station located within the central business district. As the investigation continued on Monday morning, a total of four people, including two men and two women, were brought into prison as a result of the findings of the investigation.
