Jacob K. Ammons Motorcycle Accident – According to the police, three people were hurt in a crash that involved a motorcycle and occurred in a south suburban area on Friday night. One of those injured was a fatality. At around 11:11 p.m., officers from the Joliet Police Department responded to the crash that had occurred near Northeast Frontage Road and Pandola Avenue.
According to the police, a guy in his 20s was travelling northbound on Northeast Frontage Road on a Suzuki motorcycle when he collided with the passenger side of a Ford Edge that was making a turn onto eastbound Pandola Avenue from southbound Northeast Frontage Road. At the time of the collision, the motorcycle was nearing Pandola Avenue. During the incident, the motorcyclist was reportedly thrown from his vehicle and knocked unconscious. It was determined that he had passed away after he arrived at the Ascension St. Joseph Medical Centre, which was brought to by the Joliet Fire Department.
There were two female passengers in the Ford Edge who were sent to the same hospital. Their ages have not been disclosed. Injuries sustained by one of them were considered to be life-threatening. The driver of the vehicle, who was 69 years old, and a male passenger, whose age was not immediately known, did not sustain any injuries in the collision. According to the police, the roadway was stopped for a significant amount of time while the accident scene was being repaired. The Traffic Unit of the Joliet Police Department is conducting an investigation into the collision.
