Fenelon Falls Shooting – As a result of an investigation into a “suspicious person” that was being carried out in Fenelon Falls, a person has been taken into custody as a consequence of the investigation. West Street South was shut down between Lindsay Street and Wychwood Crescent on Monday afternoon because the Kawartha Lakes OPP asked the public to remain away from the area while they completed their investigation. As a result of this request, West Street South was closed between Lindsay Street and Wychwood Crescent.
The police said that an arrest had been made in conjunction with their investigation at approximately 3:30 in the afternoon; however, very little information regarding the circumstance has been provided to the public. In accordance with what is stated in the official announcement, “The CKLOPP have taken a suspect into custody in connection with this investigation.
” There is no threat to the general public, and the police would like to thank everyone for their patience while they conducted their investigation.
