Dean Slavick Death, Obituary – It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you of the demise of Dean Slavick, who served on the faculty of Hershey Montessori School in the past and was very well liked by his peers. Dean was employed at our Concord campus from 1997 until 2006 in the capacity of a guide for physical education. Both the pupils and the teaching staff at this establishment will lament his departure in a profound way. He had a tremendous sense of humor, was extremely enthusiastic, and was always encouraging our children to do the absolute best that they could possibly do in whatever endeavors they pursued.
It was commonly known that Dean would come up with creative and unique activities for our pupils to play during their time in physical education class. In addition to that, throughout the years, he volunteered his time to act as a chaperone for a variety of Upper Elementary school field trips. A significant part of Dean’s forefathers’ contributions have been incorporated into the Hershey family history. Both of his children, Makella and Jacob, began their time at HMS in the Children’s House, where they were enrolled all the way through the 9th grade.
In addition to being an involved part of our community, Janelle was Dean’s wife. She held the position of assistant at the Children’s House, as well as a substitute teaching position at the school that was in operation before Covid. In addition, Makella has been of aid in the area of alumni engagement for a considerable amount of time. We would want to extend our thanks to Dean for everything that he has done to contribute to the community in Hershey. During this difficult time, the Slavick family is in our thoughts, and we want them to know that we are extending our condolences and thinking of them.
Dean, please know that you will be remembered fondly by a lot of people.
