Betsy Ann Wilhelmsen Death, Obituary – I am very thankful that Betsy was my friend and that her family allowed me the chance to write her obituary. I will miss her so very much. She will be greatly missed by all of us. Betsy Ann Wilhelmsen, a dear friend and sister who will never be forgotten, has left this world to embark on the next exciting chapter of her life. May 4, 2023. She defied the odds by outliving her 18-month cancer diagnosis, which she primarily kept confidential so that others wouldn’t worry about her as much as they would have otherwise. She was born in Portland, Maine.Despite this, it was well knowledge that she adored the German Shepherd rescue dogs she had taken in.
Betsy took in six German Shepherds throughout the years and raised each one of them with the utmost respect and affection, despite the fact that many people considered them to be unwanted or unlovable pets. Betsy and her dogs both had the tough-on-the-outside yet gentle-on-the-inside attributes that were characteristic of one another.Betsy’s sardonic, humorous, and compassionate demeanor was adored and treasured by those who were closest to her, which included a large number of dogs. She had the same feelings for them and insisted on cooking the most delicious meals and snacks for them using only the freshest possible items. Her expression of love was via the kitchen.
Betsy was very giving with both her time and her finances, and she also contributed to the creation of memories by being the captivating performer that she had always been. She was a chameleon with diverse buddy groups, and her interests fluctuated to suit the passions of people who were closest to her.Her occupations were just as varied as her interests, ranging from working as a bartender and phlebotomist to becoming an IT business analyst. Betsy loved going on vacation, taking day excursions, finding interesting things, going to the theater, skiing, and discovering new areas with her dogs.
She had a full and happy life, filled with a lot of love and a lot of laughter.She is survived by her sister, Jean Wilhelmsen, who resides in South Portland, Maine, as well as other members of her extended family, her closest friend and canine companion Lucy, her coworkers at Sweetser, and a large number of friends who were more like family to her.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Portland, Maine Chapter of Pets for Vets either online or by mail to the following address: P.O.
